Chapters in Motion creates bespoke, personalised digital documentary films. Each film is individually crafted from the photographs, written memories, stories and other material you supply, and is delivered to you digitally as a finished film to watch and download.

Because every film is made to order from your own material, each one is unique and is created specifically for you.

We offer a choice of film packages with different film lengths, as described on our pricing page. The package you choose, and the price for it, is confirmed when you place your order.

You are responsible for making sure the information you give us is accurate — for example names, dates and the details of your stories.

You must only submit photographs, writing and other material that you own or have permission to use, and that you are happy for us to use to create your film. If your material includes other people, please make sure you have their agreement where that is needed.

You keep all ownership of your original photographs, memories and other material. Submitting them to us gives us permission to use them to create your film — it does not transfer ownership of them to Chapters in Motion.

Your order is paid for in full when you place it, as a single one-off payment in pounds sterling. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We begin work on your film once your payment has been confirmed.

Your finished film will usually be ready within 14 days of us receiving your completed order, including your photographs and memories. This is an estimate rather than a guarantee.

If we need additional information or material from you while creating your film, production may pause until we receive it, and the timeframe will be extended accordingly. We’ll always contact you at your email address if we need anything.

Every film includes one complimentary round of reasonable revisions after you receive your first completed film. This covers small changes such as correcting factual details, adjusting wording, replacing or removing particular photographs, and small changes to the sequencing of the film.

The revision round does not include creating an entirely new film, completely rewriting your submitted story, or unlimited revisions. To request changes, simply reply to the email your film was delivered in.

Your finished film is for your personal use — to watch, download, keep and share with the people you choose. You may not sell it or use it commercially without our agreement.

We will always do our best to deliver your film on time, but we cannot be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control — for example outages of the third-party services we rely on, or other events we could not reasonably foresee or prevent.
